Hi, welcome to our Q&A session. We get a lot of questions from our customers and today we are going to answer: when should you wear glasses over contact lenses? Choosing to wear glasses or contacts for your vision correction is a combination of your personal preferences, life style, comfort, convenience, budget and aesthetics. The biggest benefit to wearing glasses is that anyone can wear them regardless of age, which makes for a quick and simple solution for vision correction. Wearing glasses reduces the need to touch your eyes which can lead to irritation and cause infection If you have dry or sensitive eyes wearing glasses will not make the problem worse like contacts can Eye glasses are usually generally cheaper than contact lenses long-term You don’t need to replace them as often and if your prescription changes you can usually keep your current frames and just replace your lenses Picking out frames can be an extended expression of your personality and style and this is my favorite factor in wearing glasses Although there are many pros to wearing glasses, there are some cons as well: glasses sit about half an inch away from your eye which can lead to peripheral distortion It is also very hard to play sports and outdoor activities while wearing glasses Some frames can cause pressure on your nose or behind your ears which can lead to headaches and general discomfort Some people don’t like how they look in glasses because they feel like it hides their face but it’s all about finding the best style, shape and color that compliments your features.
