In the case of ThermiSmooth and iFine, we find that it really works best for the eyes.
We have tried them on other areas and we just weren’t that impressed with the
results but for the eyes it really works great. Hi I’m Dr. Wix Harris and today
I’m going to talk about ThermiSmooth and iFine for the eyes. ThermiSmooth and iFine are two brands of the same treatment and they use radio frequency
to gently heat up the skin and remodel collagen. It’s a completely non-invasive
treatment, meaning there’s no numbing there’s no cuz there’s no stitches no
type of surgery so we use a wand that glides over the lower eyelid or the
upper eyelid and it heats up the area with radiofrequency it’s not painful at
all it’s very relaxing it kind of feels like a warm massage around the eyes. We
use a special heat sensing camera to make sure that we hit the exact right
temperature to tighten the skin and remodel collagen. Patients with mild to
moderate laxity get the best result from this treatment and with that I mean that
if you start having a little bit of sagging of the lower eyelids or the
upper eyelids fine lines and wrinkles but it’s not bad enough where you need
surgery, then you would be a good candidate for ThermiSmooth or iFine.
The skin around the eye is very thin and it loses a lot of its elasticity and
firmness early on so people in their 30s or 40s can start seeing a little bit of
fine lines and wrinkling and even sagging. So it’s a good idea to start these treatments early to prevent it
from getting worse or reverse some of the damage that’s been done. I typically
recommend somewhere between four to six treatments for most patients but it can
vary by individual so I recommend for patients to come in so we can take a
look at them doing a free consultation and
determine what’s best for them.
