Hey guys, welcome back to Wishtrend TV. It’s your sister Eunice in the house today
and your host Louisa. Nice to meet you guys. Well before we start, right?
Make sure to check out our last episode which was how to treat atopic dermatitis, right there. So Eunice isn’t the weather
these days so hot and humid? It’s so hot. Yeah, so hot. And because of this weather our skin usually
secretes excessive sebum and blackheads. Yeah, and also there’s so much
redness in our skin and there’s sunspots pigmentation and it’s just so annoying! Remember guys happy vacation is just momentary. Because there are so many things
that our skin has to cope with. Yeah, that’s so true. And I think we can’t avoid
the hot weather irritating our skin. However, if our skin is irritated we can
make sure that it’s our duty to restore our skin or we can actually prevent
the sun damage as much as possible. You’re right Eunice and if we respond immediately to the signal that our skin is sending then we can really reduce pigmentation
and dark spots and any kind of sun damage. So that’s right you guys get up, get ready because we’re gonna be sharing seven do’s and don’ts for that healthy glowy skin during our summer time. And I’m gonna also share something very
special today guys as you guys know, Wishtrenders that Wish company actually owns Wishtrend TV
and on Wishtrend TV we make contents about beauty and health. And also we do manufacture our own products also. So a lot of our employees and co-workers
here are such big beauty gurus. They are huge Beauty junkies.
They love taking care of their skin. They love experimenting with
other skin care products and things like that. So when our content producer was
trying to find a coworker with skin concerns like pores blackheads or lack of elasticity it was really difficult to find
someone with these skin concerns. I mean you have us with these concerns, right? So because our employees have such good glowy skin.
We’re actually going to be their tips during this video. So make sure to stay tuned until the end.
Stay tuned and I’m jealous. Yeah. Don’t. Number one. Ingredients you need to
stay away from during summertime. So ingredients that you need to
stay away from during the summertime or you need to be careful using
during the summertime is basically exfoliators with chemicals such as
AHA, BHA and retinol. And other products that contain
vitamin A, vitamin C and carrot seed oils. So guys we’re gonna introduce you guys
to one by one in a little bit in detail and give you also the reason
why they can make your skin sensitive. So definitely during the summer
we have extra sebum, blackheads acne because of all the oil in our skin. And in order to get rid of
these waste and dead skin cells we really need to have proper exfoliation and peeling. Exactly, but exfoliators that contain AHA, BHA
or retinol can actually make our skin more sensitive and it can also make our skin
more vulnerable to some burns as well. So it’s kind of tricky to use them
during the summer time, But, it doesn’t mean you should
stop exfoliating altogether in the summer. It’s just if you use exfoliators more than necessary,
it can make your skin more sensitive. So especially people with sensitive skin
or loose skin barriers needs to be careful. So this is because the dead skin cells and waste
on our skin can actually protect us from UV rays. So when you exfoliate or peel that
you have to wait until new skin cells are created. Hmm. That’s why we want to recommend that
you avoid exfoliators with AHA, BHA or retinol. But if you do have sensitive skin we want to recommend that you use a cleanser with AHA. And they are amazing because they will help
to cleanse your skin, at the same time they will remove dead skin cells without any irritation. Also, they’re gonna hydrate your skin
while reducing the excessive sebum. So all this in one product or one shebang, you know? And we want to recommend that you
use this product about three to four times a week. So we use products with vitamin A,
vitamin C, carrot seed oil, AHA And retinol all to prevent pigmentation.
That’s a lot. Yeah a lot, but it’s okay to use these but if
you don’t properly apply sunscreen afterwards, right? Then it can make your skin more sensitive. Yes. That’s why we want to recommend that you
reapply sunscreen every three hours and thoroughly. And it’s annoying sometimes. Yeah, because sometimes you’re in the pool, you’re
busy. Yeah, it is super important. Very important. Don’t number two.
Don’t remove hair right before vacation. So a lot of times ladies like to remove our hair
or get waxed right before our vacation days. But this is actually not very good for your skin. Right and not just the ladies.
But our gentlemen too sometimes. Yeah Anybody. If you understand why you want to wax
just the day before or on the even day of? Because you don’t want the hair to grow back
when you want to kind of show some skin. Right, you want it to be clean?
However, yes, this is a bad idea. That’s right. And this is because our skin usually takes
about 24 to 48 hours to recover from waxing. If you don’t follow this rule because of the sun rays
or even some of the chemicals from the sunscreens it can irritate our skin. Correct. So this can cause skin damage
with discoloration and hyperpigmentation. So it can take longer for your skin to recover. Yes So in a nutshell, if we shorten our little tip What we want to say is that you should
wax or remove hair two days before your vacation. Which is still good. Don’t number three.
Don’t wash too much. Taking a shower during the summer is
a great way to wash off, keep clean and get refreshed. Yeah, that’s right. But some people take like showers two to three times
a day because it’s so hot and it feels like so much. However, we need to remember that
we need to properly take steps to shower. Or this can actually damage our skin because
we’re washing too much even two to three times a day. Even though some people like to take
a shower frequently if you have dry or sensitive skin we don’t recommend more than two showers a day.
It’s best to take just one shower a day. And if do you like to take more showers
then maybe try it without body cleanser. Also trying to shower with lukewarm water. The temperature of the water
should be similar to your body temperature. And if you take showers for
too long your skin can become dry. So make sure that you take a shower
at the maximum level of 10 to 15 minutes. And remember once again, the frequent
showers can make your skin more dry. So after you come out of the shower We do want to recommend not just
like rubbing your skin with towel make sure to pat dry your body
and make sure to put body lotion on. That’s a good tip. Even for your face too.
Yeah. Always pat stuff. Or not even without towel, right?
And make sure to moisturize especially the areas in your body
that gets more dry often which are your hands and your elbows
and your waist and your heels. Don’t. Number four. Don’t do a sheet mask every single day. I think one of the things that a lot of us really love
to do is after our skin has been damaged by the UV rays we do like using sheet masks to restore it.
And it cools it down. However, we don’t recommend you to use a sheet mask
every day and that’s because if you have sensitive skin then using a sheet mask every day can actually stimulate your skin even more. For sensitive skin, it’s best
to apply a sheet mask once a week and for a normal skin, it’s best
to apply three to four times a week. Remember you shouldn’t apply every single day and even if you do, make sure
it’s only for a short amount of time. Perfect. So now we’re gonna introduce you guys to a tip
for sheet masks from a coworker from Wish company. And as we told you guys a lot of the workers from
Wish company are beauty gurus and beauty junkies. So we’re gonna share her tip with you guys. So what she recommends is for you to come home after work and wash your face first. Afterwards use a cotton pad and toner to wipe away
any remaining dirt, sebum or all the gunk. And then she wants to recommend you guys
to use Klairs Youth Activating Drop on the face and soak it in afterwards. She recommends that
you get the sheet mask from the fridge So it has that, you know, extra
cooling effects and to put it on your skin. If you are too busy, and you couldn’t
keep the sheet masks in the fridge then what she recommends is
for you to get a cooler and then make sure to go over your sheet mask
to cool down the temperature of your skin. After 50 minutes of sheet masking, make sure you finish off with Watery Oil Drop and this is a great great tip for cooling moisturizing and soothing effect, especially during this hot and humid weather Do number one.
Do block UV rays. Blocking UV rays as you guys know
is the basic of the basics. You should protect yourself from UV rays because they cause sun damage, skin pigmentation discoloration and so many
other skin problems, that we don’t like. It’s never really a bad thing to get sunlight, however If you are exposed to sunlight for too long UV rays will attack the skin cells
and it will damage our skin And even though we know this, a lot of times we’re so tired to put on sunscreen and we think that our
cushions or our foundation have enough protection to protect us from UV rays. But did you know that you should still apply sunscreen
even if your face makeup or your primer has protection factor. Sun protection functions
and those products are only additional. So even if your base makeup
has sun protection functions, we do recommend that you use a
sunscreen before for sure, every single day. That’s right. Always! And one of the biggest things
that can cause damage on our skin is forgetting to reapply sunscreen. Even though sunscreen has high SPF levels
when UV rays are deflected from the water it becomes even stronger. The sun protection factor
can also be washed off by water and sweat. So it’s very prone to lose its function. Yeah, and especially during summertime,
we are always outdoors. We just really enjoy outdoor activity. So it’s really
important that you reapply sunscreen every two hours. When reapply sunscreen we want to recommend
that you remove the sebum and the dirt off of your skin with cleansing tissue or
using a cotton pad and a toner. And we do recommend to reapply sunscreen and usually some people ask us like
“how much of the sunscreen should we put on?” and we always give you guys this tip
that is very easy to remember. From here your middle finger from right here till the end.
That’s the amount you should put it on. Do number two.
After Sun care. If the redness or burny feeling continues or
if the cheeks of your skin and the temperature is higher than actually the temperature of the back of your hands that means that your skin has
been damaged from the sun rays. That means the outer part is first degree sunburn. Red spots and itchiness will
break out on these parts of your skin three to four hours afterwards and after 24 hours the damage will reach its full maximum. To prevent damage, you need to cool and calm your skin within the first 24 hours because this is the golden hour of after-sun care. This is really that important time
that you need to take care of it right after right. That’s why we wanted to share with you the aftercare which is really really important and we’re gonna
be sharing tips for two different types of skin types. All right. So the first type is that skin that
becomes really red and burned which is my skin type. I get really red and burnt. However, the second
skin type is the skin type that gets tanned. Which is me. Yeah. First we will share with you the after sun
care tips for skin types like me that actually burns and the skin gets really red. If you have a sheet mask pop it in the fridge and put it on your skin and to make sure it calms and soothes your skin. However, after five minutes,
you still feel that type of you know high temperature and doesn’t calm down.
If your skin doesn’t calm down then what you have to do is use a cooling roller
and make sure you use it for about 10 to 15 minutes to calm your skin down from the temperature. So some of you might ask “what do I do
if I don’t have any sheet masks?” and my tip for you is to get enough toner and apply it on cotton pads and
put it on your skin, repeat this until the heat reduces. If you don’t have any toner Then you can soak cotton pads in water
and apply it to your skin and repeat. And I will share with you some of the ingredients
that are really great to calm your skin rapidly. You have aloe, Azulene, Centella Asiatica Extract
and also Witch Hazel Extract and some of the ingredients
that you should definitely watch our for are Alcohol and artificial scents. If you have any blisters or populace? That means you got second degree sunburn
and your thickened skin is damaged. This can lead to secondary infections. So in this case you need to go to a dermatologist. Second is tips for the tanned skin due to the sunburns. I mean just by the visualizing, it’s not red, right?
Just because it’s not red or flushing it doesn’t mean that your skin
is not damaged from the sun rays. The darkened skin due to sunburn
returns after one to two months depending on your skin’s cell reproduction cycle. But if your skin already proceeded aging
or you have a slow reproductive period then the marks of pigmentation may remain. For the skincare tip we’re going to share with you ingredients for skin care for the antioxidants. Which can increase your skin’s resistance
ability to suppress the creation of melanin cells and their extension as well,
we recommend vitamin C and E. They’re amazing ingredients and also hyaluronic acid because at the same time
it’s gonna help to hydrate your skin as well. Also, it can be effective using EGF that helps with
reproduction of skin tissues or products that contain Jojoba oil or avocado oil which helps
with lipid damage and provide nutrients. Number three. Do skip care. Now we’re gonna explain to you
why you have to do skip care. “Skip care.” Wondering what that is? Stay tuned in, okay? Skip care during the summertime.
If you use the exact same amount of skin care in fall and in winter as you did in the summertime this is gonna cause so many skin concerns. So it’s gonna start melting down and it’s gonna
mix with your sebum, it’s gonna clog your pores. So once again if the waste is not secreted properly,
it can cost so many skin concerns. We will share skin care routines that
our employees recommend. There are three of them. Mist and Watery Oil Drop, Blue Drop and
Blue Cream and soothing serum and oil. I’m curious what those combos are. First tip is actually using a mist and
Watery Oil Drop and we want to recommend that you use a mist with a base
that has green tea or grape water. The reason is because those with the base that is thermal water
those mists if you keep on spraying, of course is gonna moisturize your skin. However, sometimes you feel like
even if you moisturize it, it feels more dry, right? The reason is because it can moisturize your skin But it can’t lock in the moisture. So it’s really important you choose a mist with that based on green tea or
grape and also our coworker recommended the Watery Oil Drop and this is an amazing product
for you to use through the summer time, because it doesn’t melt down. However, it really helps to
hydrate your skin deep with them. If you feel that the mists and Watery Oil Drop
is a bit too heavy, then they also recommend the Blue Drop and Blue Cream. And this helps with skin reproduction
and also with reducing heat. This is a very simple product to use
so it’s a skin care item for everybody. Alright, our last tip is from
our Wish Company’s product developing team. And when I heard this I was like “oh my god,
I’m curious. What are they gonna say?” And I know that this tip is gonna be amazing.
So I really want to start trying it too. So basically what you’re gonna
do is make your own serum. You’re gonna use your soothing serum
and mix it a little bit with your oil. And the team recommended
Tamanu oil and Rosehip oil and Raspberry seed oil. And now I will tell you guys the worst possible
thing you can do for your skin during the summer. Okay, you got to pay attention. Pay attention! If you do a completely oil-free skincare routine
during the summer I can guarantee you this is the fastest way to damage your skin because it’s already abused by
dehydration and damaged from the Sun. Definitely, sometimes we think
because it’s summertime you need to take out the oil and your not use oil. Yeah, however, you need that good balance
of oil and moisture at the same time. And lastly guys, this is so important
and repeat it over and over again. But don’t forget to put on sunscreen
and to reapply every two to three hours. So we learned about the seven do’s and don’ts
of summer skin care. What did you guys think? Make sure to leave us your comments below. Perfect. Thank you so much for
tuning in until the very end. Don’t forget to subscribe and like.
