The year was 2012 and
I was hired as a dancer to perform with Kanye West in Atlantic City… I was sharing a room with another dancer & I realized
That when her mouth wasn’t facing me I couldn’t make out what she was saying,
Although I heard her talking… Fast forward, I was at a friends house watching television,
and I realized I had to keep changing the volume level I made an appointment with an audiologist & they diagnosed me with U Shaped Hearing Loss Also, there’s a possibility that
I may have been born with it.. Most audiograms go straight across, the one I was diagnosed with is shaped like a “U”… The point where conversation and volume meet
is where I have the most trouble at.. I’m sharing my story now for a couple of reasons,
1. I was raised in a sense to show only the most perfect parts of me.. However, I’m realizing that the more open and honest you are with yourself & others, The easier it is for the right things and the right people to come to you.
