Hi there, it’s your girl, Amber, welcome back! If you’re new, welcome to my channel! Today I want to share with you how I created this gorgeous ombre sunset eye makeup look using mostly NYX cosmetics! I really love this makeup look because it reminds me of a very passionate and gorgeous sunset with a little bit of sunlight reflection on the ocean. Without further ado, let me walk you through the steps and share with you my first impression of the NYX products. I hope you like it! To start off, I’m going to apply the Total Control Liquid Foundation all over my face. Usually, one full squeeze is plenty for my whole face and my neck. I like to blend it away with a dry sponge, or a damp one works as well. I think this foundation has a very beautiful sheer finish. It also has medium to full coverage. And it’s pretty long-lasting in the humidity over here! When I’m done blending, I like to set it with the Nofilter Finishing Powder especially in the areas that can crease or sweat very easily. This foundation set has been working so well on my dry sensitive skin. They don’t give me breakouts or make my skin look dry or cakey. I really like it! Now for my brows, I’m using my current favorite Anastasia’s Brow Definer to fill them in. Now moving on to our eye makeup! This is the highlight of the whole look today! To get the ombre sunset effect, I’ll be using 3 colors today: yellow, orange and red. I’m going in with a matte orange eyeshadow from their single pot collection to apply in the center of my lid. I think this color is very rich, pigmented and long-lasting. To add a little passion to our eye makeup, I’m going in with this dark red cream shadow from the Vivid Brights collection to apply in the outer corners of my eyes. You have to work fast with this cream shadow because it dries very quickly, but the color is so rich, pigmented and it doesn’t even get cakey at all even if you build on it layer over layer. I really love it! Because NYX doesn’t have any yellow eyeshadows I like that are available at the moment, so I’m using this bright yellow eyeshadow from Make Up For Ever that also has a matte finish to apply in the inner corners. Now our base is done, let’s give our sunset eyes more depth and more highlight! I’m using 2 shimmer eyeshadow colors from their Prismatic Eyeshadow collection to apply right on top of the matte finish. Again, they are so pigmented, long-lasting and they don’t even have a lot of fallouts which I like! You can see one color is more orange, the other more bronze. Right after you put them on, they just highlight and elevate the whole look! These are definitely one of my favorites! Now the sunset shadows are done, I’m going to draw a simple wing using their Epic Ink Eyeliner in black. You can see how rich the color is when it glides on so easily, and the color even doesn’t turn grey or transparent on top of those pigmented eyeshadows. The small pointed brush makes it so easy to use as an eyeliner on my small hooded monolid eyes. I think I’m in love with this eyeliner! To complete our eye makeup, I’m using the same dark red eye shadow to apply in my lower lashline and blend it away with a q-tip. Also I’m going to apply a little bit of the rosy pink eyeshadow right underneath the dark red eyeshadow to remove any harsh lines. Whatever that’s left on the brush, I just go ahead and blend it away on my upper lid, so the whole look becomes more gradient and the eyeshadows can just melt into my skin! I hope that makes sense to you! For a finishing touch, I want to recreate the sunlight reflection on the ocean, so I’m going in with a beige glitter eyeliner to apply in my inner corners. I think you know what I’m going to do next! I’m going to curl my lashes, put on some false lashes and pull them together using NYX Doll Eye Mascara. I really like this wand because it’s very user-friendly for me to apply mascara in the upper and lower lashes. For the rest of my face, I’m going to use NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette to sculpt my face and make the high points of my face pop. I really like this palette because they’re made into powders, which in my opinion, are easier to use. They also have warm-tone and cool-tone colors that I can customize and pair with each makeup look I create! Also, I want to add little bit of color back to my complexion, so I’m using a peachy orange blush from my Morphe Brushes palette to apply in the apples of my cheeks. Now, finally for our lips, I’m using a peachy orange lipstick from their matte lipstick collection. I really like this matte lipstick because it’s so pigmented, long-lasting and it doesn’t even dry out my lips at all! So it has become my go-to lipstick every day now! That’s it for today!
