Welcome to the vitalife show I’m Doctor Janine Bowring and in this episode we’re talking about how to do a kidney cleanse. So I do get a lot of questions about detoxification different methods that are out there for detoxifying and for the kidneys especially and of course I always comment in the videos about things that I have experience with so I know that there’s a lot of things out there but I but I always suggest things that I know that work and things that have worked over the years with my patients the very best and in the shortest amount of pop time possible but also things that are safe for you to do so that’s why you know when it comes to formulating supplements that’s why you know in terms of our body detox supplement I won’t talk a lot about it but that’s one of the things that I do recommend because it’s a full body detox but helping with those kidneys and cleansing those kidneys as well so of course I want you to drink enough water and we’ll have another video but you know how much water to actually drink but drinking enough water is essential to flush those toxins through the kidneys on a daily basis as well as you know getting enough fluids so there are fluids of course and fruits and vegetables and this is another way that you’re adding those fluids that water to your diet. Now certain foods are very beneficial for the kidneys and these my favorites are parsley and beats so this is something that you can add into if you’re doing a smoothie or very doing a juice you’re making juices as some parsley and a little bit of beets and to help to flush out those kidneys. There’s some great yoga postures for strengthening and detoxifying the kidneys as well so one of them is very simple a forward bend so if you’re not familiar with yoga postures you can certainly look them up on youtube there’s a lot there forward bends are great for detoxifying the kidneys as is a side plank so basically you need some strength for this but you know being on your side and putting the weight on one of your arms and one of your legs and balancing the whole time that’s a great way make sure you do it on both sides because of course most people have two kidneys so what on one side you also want to flush the blood and those toxins and get everything moving on the other side as well to make sure that it cleanses from your body appropriately. Twisting postures in yoga as well are very beneficial to squeeze those toxins out of those kidneys.
