Effective Ways To Cure Pink Eyes At Home. Pink eye is a common eye infection or inflammation
that is also called conjunctivitis. This infection makes the blood vessels in
the conjunctiva (the thin clear membrane that covers the white part of the eye and lines
the eyelids) to become inflamed and more noticeable thereby causing the eye to become red or pink. This infection is more common in children
than in adults and it is communicable. A proper and early treatment can limit the
spread of the infection to other parts of the eyes. The spread of pink eye infection can be limited
by doing the following. Wash your hands before and after applying
your medications. Be sure your towels, bedspreads and pillowcases
are always washed. Avoid sharing your towels with others. Stop eye makeups for now. Let go of the contact lenses during the
infection and grab new ones when it is cured. Use different cold or warm compress for
each eye and avoid using them more than once. Pink eye is caused by the following. Viral infection. Bacterial infection. Allergies. Partially opened tear duct for new born
babies. Sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia
and gonorrhea. Pink eye is characterized by redness and itchiness
in either one or the both eyes. Tearing mild eye pain and a sandy feeling
in the eyes. A greenish-yellow discharge which becomes
more at night is also a symptom and the eyelids in general becomes swollen. How to cure pink eye infection fast at home. There are many conventional medications for
the treatment of conjunctivitis but I have carefully selected some of nature wonderful
materials with rich ingredients that are also strong enough to cure this infection with
little or no side effects. Some of these materials are. 1. Salt water. Salt is known for its antimicrobial properties
hence, it has the ability to kill germ and other unwanted micro-organism. Salt water (saline) does the same work as
teardrops and the eye uses tears to clean itself. Adding salt water to your eyes will enhance
the cleaning process leaving your eye germ free because of its antimicrobial properties. 2. Aloe vera gel.
Aloe vera is safe for the human cells and it has the ability to reduce inflammation
and increase the speed of the process of healing against dust particles induced allergies and
other some other ailments affecting the outer parts of eye. This gel contains aloin and amodin which have
antimicrobial properties. The gel of aloe vera should be gently applied
to the eye parts where the symptoms are visible. It is important to know that aloe vera gel
does not have any adverse effect on the cornea of the eye. 3. Tulsi or holy basil. Tulsi or holy basil healing leaves are known
for their anti-inflammatory properties which help heal the eye from damages and infections. This wonderful gift from nature has the ability
to fight infections leaving the eye with a soothing effect and it has been used in traditional
Ayurvedic medicine to treat conjunctivitis. To use this medication, obtain the extract
by soaking the tulsi leaves in hot water and the use the liquid to wash the eye. The fresh tulsi leaves work better than the
dry ones. 4. Turmeric. Turmeric because of its curcumin possesses
an antibiotic property which has been known for healing inflammation and fighting allergies. When a patient of conjunctivitis uses turmeric,
some antibodies are produced which help fight the disease causing agents in the eye and
this provides relieve for the symptoms. To get relieve from conjunctivitis using turmeric,
add a teaspoon of turmeric to water and use it to wash your eyes. You can also add one tablespoon of it to hot
water and use as a warm compress. 5. Green tea. A green tea bag dipped in hot water and placed
on the eye has the ability to relieve the symptoms of conjunctivitis. This is so because of the presence of bioflavonoids
in the tea. Caution!. Allow the tea bag to cool a bit before placing
on the eye to avoid burns. 6. Plantain leaves. The extract of plantain leaves is a powerful
antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. This extract has long been in use in traditional
medicine for the treatment of conjunctivitis and other conditions. Theseleaves are also said to possess the ability
to boost the immune system. A compress should be made from adding a spoon
of well chopped plantain leaves to boiling water and allowed to cool and this compress
should be used 3-4 times a day. Caution!. This is not advisable for those that are allergic
to plantain. 7. Breast milk. Breast milk is very nourishing and it has
been used traditionally to treat eye infection for children. This is so because breast milk has antibodies
that boost the immune system of children. Breast milk can treat conjunctivitis if it
not a bacteria-caused conjunctivitis. Do you have pink eyes, have you tried any
