Successful pregnancies with cystic fibrosis
are possible. I’m Erin White and THIS is a dailyRx Minute.
Cystic fibrosis is a condition that causes production of a thick, sticky mucus which
can cause breathing problems and lung infections, digestive complications and in some cases,
infertility. Pregnant women WITH cystic fibrosis do not
APPEAR to suffer long-term loss of lung function. HOWEVER, they required more hospital visits,
suffered more respiratory problems and experienced other health issues during their pregnancy.
