Eye Floaters and Flashes, Animation.

Posted on August 6, 2019 by Jason Robles

From the patient’s point of view, floaters
are objects that drift around in the field of vision. They may look like blobs, little worms or
cobwebs that move with the eye’s movement. They seem impossible to focus on and are most
visible when looking against a bright plain background such as a blue sky or a blank computer
screen. Floaters are in fact particles suspended inside
the vitreous body – the gel-like structure that fills the space between the lens and
the retina. What we see, however, are not the floaters
themselves, but the shadows they cast on the retina. The closer they are to the retina, the larger
and clearer they appear in the field of vision. Commonly, floaters develop as part of normal
aging. With age, the gel-like vitreous body undergoes
syneresis – a process in which water is separated from solid components, creating
pockets of fluid that are perceived by the patient as blobs or little worms. The major structural protein of the vitreous
– collagen fibrils – become denatured, clump together and can be seen as floating
strings or cobwebs. The fluid pockets may collapse, causing the
vitreous to shrink and pull away from the retina. This pulling exerts mechanical stimulations
on the retina, producing “flashes of light” or photopsias in peripheral vision. Eventually, the vitreous is separated from
the retina. This is known as posterior vitreous detachment
or PVD. PVD is very common but is generally benign
and does not require treatment. The floaters may be a nuisance to vision,
but in most people, the brain will eventually learn to ignore them. Complications may happen, however, in a small
number of cases. As the vitreous detaches, it may pull the
retina with it, resulting in a retinal tear. Fluid from the vitreous may then sip through
the tear and cause the retina to separate from the underlying tissue. This is known as retinal detachment and is
a sight-threatening condition. Worrying signs to watch out for include:
– A sudden increase in number of new floaters, especially tiny ones as these may represent
pigments or blood cells released from the damaged retina or blood vessels. – A shade or curtain of vision – a sign
of loss of vision from the detached part of the retina. People with high degree of myopia are at higher
risks of having PVD. The longer shape of the eyeball in myopia
increases the likelihood of PVD and also the risk of retinal complications. This is because the retina is stretched over
a larger surface and becomes thinner and more vulnerable to tears. Other risk factors for PVD include intraocular
inflammation, trauma, previous eye surgery, diabetes and family history.

Nice Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched – Franaar Spectacular Look Formula (probably on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for curing eye floaters minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate at very last got excellent results with it.

Effects on bodybrain 6 months after becoming vegetarian. I am in my 7th month, thoughts are clearer, weighgt is down and i have developed more empaphy and it would be good if from a scientific standpoint you would show, sources of non meat
protein content, damage protein can do, damage consuming necrotic tissue with fats can do and why we crave meat as it is usualy consumed with fat attached related toa pre abundance. stage of past.

I have floaters, too. The ophtalmologist said my eyes are healthy and told me to wear sunglasses when it's too bright outside, and also to use artificial tears when I feel dryness in my eyes. Everything is fine now, so I figured digital eye-strain could be linked with the development of floaters.

I had a macular hole repaired around 25 years ago on my right eye at NYE&E. The surgery was successful but it  did leave some scar tissue that sort of distorted the vision in that eye.  Recently I have been seeing a eye specialist at NYE&E  A few days after my last optical  2 weeks ago.  I had black flickering spots on the outer vision of the right eye.  Now, I have a noticeable floater, but also as I was watching TV last evening when covering my good eye, it looked like I was looking through cracked glass or spider webs.  I have in the past had occasional Optical Migrain;s, in the other (left) eye.  I have a return visit scheduled for the 20th. Has anyone else had this sort of problems?

I’m only 20 and have tons of floaters in both eyes, seems kinda like the second simulation on the video, but when I squint my eyes they become much worse and more noticeable, it’s incredibly hard to deal with and makes my quality of life much worse, if I could ever be healed of this it would change my life forever and I would never take eye sight for granted

Great clip thanks! Please address the phenomenon of cascading lights down the corner of the field of vision….Like orange sparks at a foundry dropping down in slower motion…Also jumping vision in one eye like an old movie projector…or a TV that needs its vertical stabilizer adjusted….The eyeball itself isn't moving at all (verified by an eye doctor observig my eye while this was happening) but the vision or vision signal to the brain is jumping or undulating…..It's really strange and very dangerous when driving….Only in one eye…..What is it?

When I look left or right really quickly in a dark room with a light on outside my window; my eye(s) quickly show a white bright vertical line and it disappears while shifting eyes quickly and it stops when I stop moving my eyes too fast. It's not possible when the sun is out, only at night. When in my white bathroom, I see weird blackish white prints instead of white bright lines. Sometimes when I lay down, I see flashes of light pulsating in my vision, and they stop after a while. What should I do? I'm a 22 gonna be 23 year old girl, and I'm sure I started seeing this in 2015 on and off? I also can't see far so I wear glasses.

I’ve been seeing floaters ever since I had my first uveitis attack that nearly blinded me but what I’m confused about is ever since I can remember I see shooting stars that have different shapes and they seem to be able to manouvere at the nearly speed of light it is as if I can see photons appearing and whizzing by in many different directions, they start happening as soon as the daybreaks and I can only see them in natural light of the day , I’ve been trying to find a similar case to mine for years but no one talks about the exact same thing as I experience! Help please .

I Had floaters when I was little I remember when I was at least 5 laying in bed and every once awhile seeing one and I would stare at it and it would disappear. When I was 11 It got worse and grew and I saw it all the time except in dark rooms. It got worse and worse I went to the eye doctor he said nothing was wrong. After that, it slowly got worse till the next year my eyes hurt and I saw sparks of light in my vision. Went back nothing was wrong I was 15 then. I'm 16 now and I have in the last 3-5 months have started seeing fewer sparks but more of these white circle kinda blood cell lookings things flowing through my vision when I look at anything bright or white. It kinda has a weird visiual effect where is starts small grows to be a big white ball kinda flash then shrinks away kinda like water droplets. They are different then my floaters which have gotten slightly better makes it hard to concentrate and enjoy going outside and doing normal things in life. Any advice?

Ok, I’m hoping someone can answer my question. I am unable to find any eye condition that matches my symptoms. My vision is 20/20, But I have some degree of Visual static. I see flickers of white dots in my peripheral vision and (and occasionally in my central vision) and sometimes it’s bright blotches that disappear after a few seconds or when I blink. I will occasionally see random tints of pink/purple/green/yellow in my peripheral vision. None of these are permanent and go away quickly, except the static which I’ve had for as far back as I can remember (static never goes away) weirdest part is I still see these disturbances in pitch black dark and when I close my eyes.

Well I have the dots floaters and a tiny circle of yellow light moving from the inert corner to the outer corner of my left eye and that it’s only for 2sec then disappears, and it’s only in the night time. I went to the optometrist and they dilated my pupils and looked behind my eye and it’s no tear or retinal detachment. I have high myopia and astigmatism in the left eye and I got a new prescription glasses, but they are not ready yet. Could this be because I have the old glasses and my eyes are straining in order to see? I had this glasses for 7 years and my prescription changed this year. Could this be retinal detachment?

Hi there. I don't believe I have floaters but I do suffer from flickering vision. Along with everything appearing dim or darker than usual. I've had eye exams done and nothing has been found. Each day the darkness seems to get worse and I'm at a loss as to what's going on. Any help would be great, thank you.

I flashed a flash light in my eye and every time I blink I see an image it’s weird I’m not even sure if it’s an image it looks like a person

I can never explain what i see, i see kind of lots of floaters , yes, but the thing that worries me more are hard to explain.I can say that they are dots or sparkles that are a bit white and balck even if i can't identify the colors, veeeeeeeeeeeerry tiny ones, i see them everywhere, especially when it's dark or i'm looking at the sky.Can someone explain please ?

EDIT : I learned that i have a very rare condition called visual snow, i was scared at first, but after i learned that this condition is VERY RARE, i felt different, and excited , i know that this is a blessing, and even if it's annoying, i'll get used to it

Well mine is like a small static looking circle that just grows and takes up my whole vision until it stops. It seems completely random and happens every so often, has happened for years and I am 17. My doctor and eye doctor both had no idea what to do or what it was.. so when it happens I've been told sunglasses help and they do sometimes but mostly I will take tylenol or ibuprofen and it will make the swirling static circle will go away faster… and advice or opinions?

Eye floaters are technological and are remotely controled by spies with devices. They are used to control people and aggitate them. They are used to defraud people aswell
