Does Castor Oil Help with Cataracts?

Does Castor Oil Help with Cataracts?

Posted on August 6, 2019 by Jason Robles

– Welcome everyone, hey. Does mom really, always know best? – Yes – If it’s your mom, for sure! – Almost always But today we are fact checking on her because this is our segment called Stuff My Mom Forwards Me. (audience claps) And you know mom’s
sometimes forwards things that aren’t always right. We were contacted by Darlene who sent us an email she
got, not from her mom, but this actually came from her grandma. I read an article – That does count – Grandma’s have been
around longer than most – Maybe even better advice but what about this one. So in this case Darlene’s grandma sent an email reading “I read an article online
that says castor oil is amazing for blurry vision or cataracts. It claims to be a surgery-free way to make your eyes good as new!” – The crazy thing is they’re actually talking
about putting these drops right in your eyes. – No! I don’t think so. I mean historically we you think castor oil you think of it for using it for GI symptoms right? For upset tummy, maybe a little bit of constipation. I mean did your mom ever
give yous castor oil with you two as a kid? – I’ve never I’ve never used castor oil. – Well we have some castor oil efficient – Well, well I think you’re right I think it was sort of a home
remedy for upset stomachs and then I think more
recently in dermatology people talk about it a lot for hair but in all of these cases you’re talking about taking it internally. In this case I think the
stuff your mom is forwarding you is to take drops, put them in your eyes, something that maybe isn’t
formulated for use like that. – Well I would use castor oil potentially a little bit on
the skin, maybe the hair. I don’t know that I’m ever
gonna be ingesting castor oil. I’m certainly not going to
be putting it in my eyes. Just the name alone has always scared me. Doesn’t castor oil just
sound like motor oil? – It does. – Well actually Dr. Ordon
and I did a little research right before this show because apparently this is
derived from the seed of a plant so it isn’t really motor oil. – It just sounds like it! – But it sounds intimidating yeah it does and it also kinda reminds you
of those movies from the 1950s where it was sort of a punishment where the kid had to take castor oil when they did something wrong. – I’m not going to open my
mouth for that castor oil. – We’re not ophthalmologist’s. We surmise this would not
be ideal for your eyes but we wanted to reach out to the experts so reached out to
ophthalmologist extraordinaire Dr. Bryan Boxer Wachler this is what he had to say. – Despite what you may hear online there is no reliable data to suggest that taking castor oil from a bottle and putting it in your eyes
is helpful for cataracts. Definitely it’s not recommended. Do not do this! – No! – This oil can have bacteria in it and you could introducing bacteria into a warm moist environment which is your eyes that’s the perfect
recipe for an infection. Also this oil can upset the
very delicate ph balance of your tear film and that can cause irritation. Putting anything in your eyes must be done in a sterile manner. – Well you heard it right there. – Dr. Bryan thank you sir. – And the other problem with this Anytime you use something
oily based like that an ointment in the eye you’re eyes are gonna stay
blurred for some time. I mean eye drops, saline
drops, something like that is one thing but when you use something the oil base you’re gonna have a film that sits there for awhile that’s going to irritate. – Any acute, onset changes in vision don’t be doing at home remedies. You need to go see a doctor because you can have
such crazy visual changes and you’ll think it’s
your eye that’s causing it but it’s something really more systematic and we know blood clots can cause that and so I just worry if people they try these home remedy’s
for things where they need to – Hey your eyes are one of
your most precious commodities. Take care of them gingerly. Don’t put anything in your eyes unless your doctor suggests
that you put it in. Too many stories we’ve
talked about on the show people mistakenly putting
stuff in their eyes like super glue. – Right, absolutely! – Or their dogs medicine or something like that in their eyes. So no don’t take. – You can’s emphasize the bacteria enough. I mean any of us who
have ever gotten pink eye from old makeup or from anything dirty just taking a reusable dropper like this such a bad idea.

what really bothers me is the arrogance of these doctors. Doctors are NOT scientists. they are a bit more than pharmacists. they blindly accept pharmaceutical marketing that many times has been proven erroneous and even fatal. they should at least take the time to research and prove that perhaps this is not a good remedy instead of just laughing it off. my family and I have been misdiagnosed and malpracticed by so many doctors for different conditions that it's not even funny. all with the same attitude.

"go see Dr" – how many here has been wounded and/or damaged by drug dispensing disinterested lazy or flippant health professionals. I would have liked to hear studies or statistics… Even if their advice was warranted..I recoil from their arrogance and unscientific approach. I'd love to see traditional medixal professionals seek out and learn alternative methods proven effective and safe

I put castor oil in my eyes every night, my eye sight has improved, I can see smaller letters on my computer without my readers. Also people are not aware that your diet has a lot to do with the nutrients from your food being absorbed into your body to supply cells with the nutrients they need to keep the body healthy. That is why it is good to find a daily supplement that will supply you with 90 essential minerals needed to stay as healthy as possible to help cells do the work to keep you healthy. Youngevity Vitamins Tangy Tangerine has 90 essential minerals that we need daily, and not getting from our food. I also take those 90 essential minerals call Tangy Tangerine, and I also add an extra dose of selenium for eye support. Look up Dr. Joel Wallace, Dr. Sandra Cabot, Dr. Schrauzer. Natural Medicine is better, it is working for me.

Of course there is no scientific proof because there is no money to be made from such a simple and natural treatment. I have read books that read otherwise. If you research enough, you will find studies that suggests different. My mom and grandma gave me castor oil as a child. As an adult I use it from head to toe, inside and out. I have even put it in my eyes just to test it out. I guess you could say, I'm my own scientist. My eyes were crusted over the next morning but no harm done. I did it for three nights…just to see. If doctors can experiment with drugs and give us stuff that causes side effects, then take us off, just to give us another drug with more side effects, then why not see if a natural remedy could help. If you don't want to put it in your eyes, then try an oil pack made out of flannel wool every night before you go to bed. It is said by naturalist, that castor oil dissolves cataracts to tumors. Be your OWN doctor and scientist. Do your OWN research first though😊.

One must use hexane free, organic and from a brown glass bottle castor oil. It is soothing and does improve vision. Great for cataract reversal.

Doctors are so full of themselves. I had three artery disease for years and had finally found it myself by going through old test results. It said 4 different times in past test that I had heart disease and none of my doctors ever told me until I showed my primary doctor. He immediately set up an appointment with a heart specialist. Next thing I knew I was in the hospital having bypass heart surgery. I still think doctors are wonderful, but l keep close tabs on them.
By the way, I'm using Castrol oil in my eyes but make sure that you get USP cold pressed that contains no hexanes. You can get it from the Walmart pharmacy.

I've used the last three nights, and have a pretty remarkable improvement. And my eyes, especially the right one have been failing rapidly. Optometrist said last year I'd go blind and there was nothing that could be done about it! I was afraid to use this at first and bought the Castor Oil last year. Finally went for broke as my right eye was almost useless. Now it's coming back and the left is much clearer. Put it in before bed, wash out thoroughly with cold water and baby shampoo on the lashes, in the morning. Get the correct castor oil as others have specified. I'd guess the goofy doctors would mock Jesus putting dust and spit in the blind mans eyes also. Modern society is such a failure. Which is what happens when Money is your God!
