Hi I’m Suzie and I was sittin’ on the couch this afternoon nursing this horrible-sounding head cold and then I got in the mail from Max Estrada, from exclusive nail couture the precious minerals to make the cat eye design. It’s what’s trending now; I’m gonna show you how to do it. Let’s get started. So I was just texting Max, and he was telling me when you get this, turn it upside down for a little bit and it helps all the minerals and the colours come into play. If you don’t, it looks more like more clear-ish when you take it out but when you do turn it upside down its full of all the colour, see that? So he’s got 3 colours he sent me, but I’m gonna use this gold-y one on top of black so it can really stand out. So you just paint it on. This is really simple and easy to do, and you can do it real quick on yourself or right after a client’s nail fill. So watch this Camera Man will like this ’cause there’s some sort of science involved [Camera Man: Ooh science?] And it’s called the cat eye. He said you hold it over about a 45 degree angle, which I guess is like this… And you see how it changes the shape of it? You see that? I’m gonna hold it this way… Look at that. [Camera Man: Oh, I see, so it changes the pattern.] Yeah! So what it’s doing is it’s taking all the sparkles in it and it obviously has some sort of little magnetic capabilities in there and obviously this is a magnet, and when you put it together you can actually change the shape of all the sparkles inside of it creating… Oopsie You see what i just did there? [Camera Man: You messed it up?] Yes, I put it in my hair That’s a real good nail technician move, yeah, probably still in my hair. Okay. Ooh, I think I even got more gold on there. And like, I always wondered why they called it the cat eye, and obviously it’s because of the line that it makes. I’m gonna sneeze! (sneezes) [Camera Man: Gesundheit!] Oh my goodness! Look at that though! I notice though when I pull it away… and if you let it sit for a second, it seems to fall back into a softer position. Isn’t that neat! [Camera Man: That’s cool.] [Camera Man: Maybe we should have a discussion about the quantum effects of how this magnetism works.] [Camera Man: I think the viewers might really like that.] I think that sounds boring. [Camera Man: Oh! Am I the only one that likes quantum physics?] Even the word is boring! “Quantum physics.” [Camera Man: Oh!] Can you make it pretty? [Camera Man: Well, you like cats right? The cat eye, Schrodinger’s cat.] That didn’t even make any sense. You’re going off on a… [Camera Man: I’ll be quiet now.] So look how full it is, and then see when you put it on, it’s about 2 or 3 seconds [whispers] Look at that! And then I just give it a flash cure right? Just to hold it in place. And then I’ll cure them altogether at the end. Goes down quick though, eh? [Camera Man: It is quick! Very nice.] [Camera Man: Just subtle, and but beautiful texture, I like that.] Yes. Look at that. Actually even without it, it’s kinda neat. [Camera Man: Yeah.] I guess, let’s try a different shape we’ll do it like this for a sec. Want to see it moving, wish this was see-through so I could see it at the same time. Ooh, I like that! I’m freezing that bad boy. [whispers] I like that shape. [Camera Man: That definitely looked like a cat eye.] That’s why I did my nails in the almond shape. I just did that because I wanted to show the cat eye with the almond shape. [Camera Man: Mmhmm.] ‘Cause it’s like a cateye. [Camera Man: Wow, the vertical stripe is, uh, it stands out more.] It does! [Camera Man: You can see it more, ’cause it’s longer.] Oh, hang on! I’m just gonna cure this for full cure, and then I’m gonna try something different. I didn’t expect to do this but- this is live television. We’re just gonna, go with it. So after a full 30 second cure, he said you could do 60 if you like just to cure it that long if you want to, I’m gonna try it with a double coat, look at that. See I did it sideways the one way? It’ll be like a criss-cross. [whispers] I don’t know if it’ll work. [Camera Man: This is a science experiment.] I guess you could say. Look at that! It did work. And you don’t have to topcoat it. Once you’ve done your 30 or 60 second cure, it’s good to go. [Camera Man: You finish the pinky, I’m cuttin’ to reveals.] If you’re interested in picking up some of Max’s stuff you can check in the description box below. He says he’s got a hundred more colours comin’ in January that I can’t wait to see. Well I’m gonna nurse this cold, back on the couch I go, and I’ll see you in the next video.
