What’s going on, guys? Shane here with another fightTIPS quick tip! So we’re continuing the myth busting series because I’m still getting those outlandish questions. The question today is “can a palm strike to the nose shoot someone’s nose up into the brain and kill someone?” No. We’re going to crush this one
quickly, here. Your nose is cartilage soft cartilage. This isn’t a bone right here, guys. Going up a little bit higher you got bone up here. But if you’ve ever seen a human skull or even a drawing of a skull, and its got that triangle cut-out?
That’s because it’s hollow there, alright? This is soft cartilage here. You’ve seen Mike Tyson smash upper
cuts into people’s noses and them not die, right? They sort of, just take the punch, and their head goes back. Alright you can push this all the way in, and on top of that: your brain is much further pushed back. If this went up and even got pushed in,
some freak accident, it’s not going to hit your brain. People have gotten stabbed in the face with a knife and survived, okay? So that Palm shake to the nose, no, that’s not gonna shove someone’s nose up into the brain. However it can be fatal, alright? Any punch to the head. We previously talked about a punch to the temple, how that can be fatal. A punch to the back in the head; a punch to the neck; all those can be fatal. If you hit someone with a palm strike to the nose, and they fall back and they hit their head on the cement, that could be fatal too. Okay, so there’s no yes-or-no but that nose bone is not going to show up into your brain that’s
a guaranteed no way, not going to happen. Alright guys, make sure you FOLLOW me on Twitter, & send me some more of these crazy myths that you’ve been hearing, and I’ll debunk them for you.
